In my opinion my favorite thing that has happen is the Gold Puffle Quest. CP took a big step by trying to make us happy and they did by giving us the Rainbow puffle AND gold puffle! This was huge and exciting time for us penguin players. Well, Waddle On!

Hi Penguins!

Thanks for all the great questions on our last post, “Ask a Club Penguin Intern.”

Although I would love to answer all of your questions, I’ve gotta go home at some point haha. I did however try and draw a Picture of my penguin! I’m still curious as to why I’m not on the artist team… ;)

Now on to the questions!

Riyita: “What are you going to school for?

I am going to school for my Bachelor of Business Degree, focusing on Branding and Entrepreneurship. Fun fact: Up until right before I applied for my internship with Club Penguin, I was originally set on being an Accountant. I realized after a few accounting courses that it was not my passion, so I quickly changed paths.

Goldblue1: “How did you sign up to be an intern?”

Signing up to be an intern is much like applying for any other job. I sent in my resume through my University and went through the same interview process other team members do. Although an internship isn’t mandatory for some Universities and Colleges, it’s extremely helpful when figuring out what you want to do for a career. 

Semper5010: “What department do you work for?”

I work with the Community team, so I get to work in an office with Polo Field and Ninja! Community isn’t the only team in Club Penguin that offers internship positions, either. Teams such as: Project Management, Programming, and Art sometimes offer internships as well.

Xela424: “What’s your favorite thing about working at Club Penguin?”

It’s hard to choose just one thing so I’ll give you a few! My favorite things about working at Club Penguin are the opportunities available to enhance your learning, as well as the amazing people you get to work and interact with. I work with some incredibly talented people that never cease to amaze me. I also never thought how much interacting with you guys could be so rewarding! Being in contact with the community on a daily basis is what makes this job worthwhile. I have seen what many of you are capable of and what you are striving for — it absolutely blows me away. 

Surgex10: “How long do interns stay at Club Penguin for?”

Interns usually stay a minimum of 4 months but some can get extended longer.

Trainman1405 asked: “Do you think you’ll return to Club Penguin in the future for a full time job and not just an internship?”

I would love to if I had the chance! I’m extremely thankful for the opportunity to work with a company that promotes values that align so close with my own. I only have one year left towards my degree, so we’ll see how it goes!

Kendall A423's Adventures: Smiley's puffles

                                 Continued: Smiley's puffles
So I'm continuing my adventure with my friend Smiley to find out where Herbert is hiding her puffles. We found puffle fur with Gary near an evacuator vent space. Herbert was probably hiding puffles in there so me, smiley, and gary went to the vent and found Herbert! But there were NO puffles! He must be hiding puffles near the second vent. Me and Smiley are going to check the other evacuator vent spaces to see if the puffles are there while gary takes Herbert to do analyzing and security checks. Herbert will have to pay a fine. that means right now me and Smiley are all alone.

Club Penguin has released a new newspaper! This is their 24th of October edition. This is the forty third issue of 2013 and brings us to a total of 418 published newspaper issues.
The main headline is this week’s newspaper is about the eighth anniversary party.

The second main article in this newspaper issue is about the Halloween Party.

I’m Kid President. I like to dance. I want to help make the world more awesome. You might have seen my videos online or maybe even watched them in school. I’m writing because I love Club Penguin! You guys know how to make cool things happen.
I’m declaring the month SOCKTOBER! and I need your help.

What if we got 1 million people to help the homeless? Every night there are nearly 600,000 people who have to sleep on the streets in our country and it’s about to get really cold. That’s not okay! We can help them.
See if you and your family can work together to collect new socks and other simple everyday things your homeless neighbors might need. Collect them all by October 31 and deliver them to the local shelter in your town. Kids all over the world are getting involved! Can’t collect socks? We’re also working to raise money to help our friend Aaron build a safe place for women and kids who are homeless in Little Rock, Arkansas.
We want to show the world what awesome looks like! If you and your family decide to help out with SOCKTOBER, we want to know! Have your parents email a photo of your donation to socktober@soulpancake.com, along with your penguin name. I'll send a list of the penguins who donated to the Club Penguin Team, and they'll give you a special rare item for donating: the Green Bunny Slippers! How awesome is that?

It's almost been 8 whole years since Club Penguin launched. Can you believe it? To celebrate, we'll be releasing a Happy Birthday music video! One that you can share all 365 days of the year – how awesome is that?
That's not all! This will be more than your regular-old Happy Birthday tune, it's going to be a brand new Club Penguin original! I've had a listen to it and I've gotta say it's pretty catchy. The best part? It features Jordan Fisher, who you may know from Disney Channel's Teen Beach Movie.
Fun fact: he also used to play Club Penguin!

We are excited to have the opportunity to work with Jordan. Especially since he's taking some time to answer some questions from you – the Club Penguin community!

Kendall A423's CP Adventures: Smiley's puffles

                                      I was sitting peacefully at the underwater treasure cave. All of a sudden, someone came to me. It was Smiley! Smiley is my best friend, and she had a problem. Herbert was abducting her puffles and we had to save them! So Smiley and I raced back to her igloo, and found Herbert with a giant space ship! Herbert, Klutzy, and his penguin aliens tried to take all of Smiley's puffles. Herbert and his ship left. We thought we were too late, but Herbert left some fur behind. We took it to Gary's lab to analyze it. We found out, it was a puffles fur....
